You are required to take at least two "distribution" (or elective) courses 
for broadening your physics education at TAMU.

A) One from "high energy" (Nuclear or High Energy Physics)
B) One from "low energy" (AMO/Quantum Optics or Condensed Matter Physics

The elective courses are designed to cover BOTH theoretical and experimental 
aspects.
